See your GP to get your flu jab now

GP surgeries are now taking appointments for flu jabs across Mansfield and Ashfield.  Call your GP surgery or go online to book an appointment now, or drop-in to one of the many flu clinics taking place. Every year, hundreds of thousands of people see their GP and tens of thousands are hospitalised because of flu. Symptoms of flu can be very unpleasant and can last for several weeks. Flu can also lead to more serious complications like pneumonia or bronchitis for those with underlying health conditions, and in some cases it can be fatal.

The high risk groups listed below should speak to their doctor to arrange a flu jab now:

  • Pregnant women
  • People with long-term conditions, eg: COPD, stroke, lung disease
  • Pregnant women and parents of 2-3 year olds
  • People aged 65+
  • Informal carers (friends and family)
